ROSS, Minn. — Two months after winning the lottery, Debbie Kujava and her brother, Dennis Kujava, are adjusting to their new lives as millionaires. The winning Lotto America ticket Debbie bought as part of a Jackpot Bundle on Tuesday, March 13, at Holiday Stationstores in Roseau, Minn., was worth $22.8 million, and the $13.5 million cash option she chose was whittled down to $9.4 million after the required tax withholding. The odds of winning were about 1 in 24 million, Debbie Kujava says. She kept it quiet until March 19, when Lotto America made it official. German journalist’s charity visit to central Vietnam The German journalist arrived in Vietnam on July 9 after he left Schwerte city, Germany, on May 17 and went through many countries, including Poland, Latvia, Russia, Mongolia, China and Laos. His first destination in Vietnam is Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province, where he is going to provide financial support for Pham Thi Thao Huyen, a poor girl introduced to him by the World Vision – a non-profit organization. Transport Minister agrees to speed up airport expanding in Thanh Hoa Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang has approved a proposal to speed up a project to broaden Tho Xuan Airport in central province of Thanh Hoa. Minister Thang instructed Airport Corporation of Vietnam to complete the airport design before July 15 to start construction by October. It is expected to complete by the end of the next year. Tho Xuan Airport opened in February last year has seen rapid growth rate, reaching 40 percent in the first half this year. The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines is exploiting HCMC-Thanh Hoa route with 12 flights per week. The company plans to increase the number to 14 in September and open new flights from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and Buon Ma Thuot City. The low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific has seven flights per week between HCMC and Thanh Hoa.
