Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has said Donald Trump is the frontrunner for the GOP's 2024 presidential nomination and he will not challenge the former president if he runs. Rubio spoke to Newsmax TV's Greg Kelly Reports on Wednesday about the 2024 race and called Trump "the most popular and most influential Republican in America." Trump and Rubio famously clashed during the 2016 GOP primaries, with the New York real estate magnate dubbing the Florida senator "Lil' Marco." Former President Donald Trump revisited familiar themes in an interview with Sebastian Gorka on Tuesday, touching on the COVID-19 pandemic and unsubstantiated claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Trump spoke to Gorka's AMERICA First podcast in a 30-minute interview that covered a wide range of topics and saw the Republican repeat many recent arguments and complaints. Gorka served as deputy assistant to then President Trump from January to August 2017 and has been one of his outspoken supporters and a critic of the so-called "deep state."
