Southern firms want stronger ties with new diplomats By Kinh Luan - The Saigon Times Daily HCMC - Entrepreneurs of 18 southern provinces and cities on Wednesday expressed a desire for strong relations with 21 newly-installed ambassadors and consuls general to 45 countries to push up trade and investment ties between Vietnam and other nations. Most of enterprises were concerned about a lack of information about international markets, especially those in South America, Africa and Ukraine. In response, Toan said if enterprises wanted to seek support from embassies, they should send their requests to the offices as soon as possible, maintain regular contacts and learn necessary info from the offices via the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and others on the Internet. Vietnam wants stronger ties with Netherlands

Vietnam wants stronger ties with Netherlands HCMC – Vietnam encourages Dutch companies to come for business cooperation to further ties between the two countries, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said. Speaking at a meeting in Hanoi on Monday with Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his wife Princess Maxima, Dung said Vietnam wants cooperation in the fields of oil and gas, banking, seaports and shipbuilding, and climate change response. “Vietnam will create favorable conditions for Dutch businesses to expand their investment here in the country,” he was quoted by Vietnam News Agency. Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima are being accompanied by a 90-strong business delegation that is interested in exploring business and investment prospects in Vietnam. Dung said the Netherlands is now a leading European investor in Vietnam with total investment pledges of around US$5 billion. Poland supports Vietnam’s stronger ties with EU

Poland supports stronger ties between Vietnam and the European Union, said Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Joanna Wronecka at the annual political consultation at deputy foreign ministerial level between the two countries held in Hanoi on October 12. Vietnam, Bulgaria Look to Stronger Ties

Vietnam, Bulgaria Look to Stronger Ties PM Nguyen Tan Dung urged Vietnam and Bulgaria to strengthen cooperation in education, science and technology, tourism and culture in the future. The PM made the point at his meeting with visiting Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Tsetska Tsacheva on April 16. Active development in bilateral relations over the past times has brought about practical benefits for both countries, said the Vietnamese Government chief. PM Dung suggested the two countries continue to launch cooperative programs and put forth new ones, especially in the fields of economics, trade and investment in order to lift up the two-way trade turnover to a new high. He also asked Bulgaria to recognize Vietnam as a market economy, increase its official development assistance for Vietnam and help the Southeast Asian country to expand the relations with other European countries.
