Ltd., has opened its first dealership in Delhi. The automaker has partnered with OHM Automotives for the inauguration of the new dealership. The dealership is located in Pandav Nagar, New Delhi. With the dealership launch, the company aims to cater to the Delhi-NCR region. It will cater to customers in e-commerce and fast-moving consumer goods. Omega Seiki Mobility currently retails six products in the dealership including the newly launched Rage+ Frost for pharma delivery purposes. Apart from its Indian operations, the company has also ventured into a manufacturing unit in Dhaka, Bangladesh with an investment of INR 100 crores. PAP fields Koh Poh Koon as its candidate for by-election
SINGAPORE: The ruling People's Action Party will field surgeon Dr Koh Poh Koon as its candidate in the Punggol East by-election. He was introduced as the party's choice on Thursday morning, a day after the Writ of Election was issued by the President. The ward was left vacant after its former MP Michael Palmer resigned last month due to an extra-marital affair. It was hardly a surprise when surgeon Dr Koh was introduced. Speculation has been rife over the past two days that he would be the PAP candidate. The 40-year-old surgeon is a fresh face although he has been a grassroots volunteer since 2002. He is married with two young children, aged four and nine. It was only three weeks ago that Dr Koh joined as member of the PAP. Parliament: More areas to be marked as public paths; LTA approval needed to import e-scooters, e-bikes
SINGAPORE - Open spaces such as courtyards and plazas will be designated as public paths later this year, enabling the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to take enforcement action against cyclists and personal mobility device (PMD) users flouting rules in such areas. And LTA's approval will be required before any business or individual can import PMDs or power-assisted bicycles (PABs), with offenders facing a fine and jail time from the first quarter of next year. These are measures introduced under two separate Bills passed on Tuesday (May 26) as the authorities take steps to strengthen the laws and enforcement as an increasing number of people use mobility devices to get around. The debate for both Bills was held concurrently in Parliament, with 11 MPs speaking on the issues.
