The Sopranos has been heralded as the best series of all time. The American crime drama first burst onto our screens in January 1999 and due to its incredible popularity ran on HBO for a whopping 86 episodes until 2007. Despite going down in history as one of the best TV shows ever devised, the creator of the cult Mafia series did reveal it almost never got made because the first script didn't feature a single episode. Thankfully, David Chase completely rewrote the show and added some brutal deaths - with 88 unfortunate souls losing their lives across six seasons. At the centre was the late, great James Gandolfini as mob king Tony Soprano, who struggled to balance family life while running a dangerous criminal organisation. The Simpsons announced last summer that the show was in for a casting shakeup, as white actors would no longer be voicing characters of color on the show, including characters like Carl, Apu, and Dr. Hibbert. Now comes the news that the new Dr. Julius Hibbert has been cast, according to Deadline ; Kevin Michael Richardson will play the character moving forward, replacing actor Harry Shearer for the role. He'll take over the role starting with the episode scheduled to air on Sunday, February 28, 2021. Shearer, of course, will still voice other characters on the series. Richardson is a veteran voice actor with over 30 years and over 500 credits to his name. He's voiced characters in the DC and Marvel universes, as well as Star Wars, Transformers, Mortal Kombat, Family Guy, and Amazon's upcoming Invincible--among a long list of other shows and movies. George Clooney , Noah Wyle , Julianna Margulies and Anthony Edwards will reunite with other cast members of NBC’s classic hospital drama ER for a special Earth Day episode of Stars in the House , the YouTube series benefitting The Actors Fund . The ER reunion episode is set for Thursday, April 22 at 8pm ET. The episode, another in the series’ popular TV cast reunions, also will benefit Waterkeeper Alliance, the global clean water nonprofit. The idea for the joint benefit came from actress Gloria Reuben, who portrayed ER ‘s physician assistant Jeanie Boulet and now serves as the President of Waterkeeper Alliance.
