Vietnamâs largest ice cream maker to launch IPO Le Hoang HCMC - Kido Foods (KDF), a frozen food company under Kido Group, has plans to launch its initial public offering (IPO) in early April and get listed on bourse this year. This information was shared with investors at an introduction of opportunities for investment in KDF in HCMC on Monday. KDF was set up in mid-2003 when Kido Group acquired Wallâs ice cream factory from Unilever. With this deal, KDF received all international standard ice cream making technology, including the most modern ice cream factory in Southeast Asia with a total area of 23,700 square meters, a total investment of US$20 million and an annual capacity of nine million liters. Currently, KDF is operating two factories in HCMC and Bac Ninh with a designed capacity of 50 million liters per year, including 25 million liters of ice cream and 25 million liters of yogurt.
