The star-laden movie version of hit stage musical Cats released its first trailer on Thursday (Jul 18), but first impressions were far from cuddly. The movie, to be released in Dec, features Taylor Swift in her first film role, along with Jennifer Hudson, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Idris Elba and James Corden. The film uses the actors' faces and covers their bodies in computer generated fur as they sing and dance on a larger than life set. Scott Mendelson, film critic for Forbes.com, tweeted that the trailer was "appropriately terrifying and insane, like a drug-induced nightmare. I can't wait!" "Taylor I love you but this is gonna give me nightmares," a user called Charlotte Eller posted on YouTube. Kareem and Fifi, the pet parents behind the @DontStopMeowing accounts on TikTok and Instagram , clearly love their cats, Chase, Skye, and Millie. Their TikTok account is full of videos of the cats being pampered, including clips of the cats wearing matching pajamas in bed or enjoying a bubble bath with their dad. But the video of Chase enjoying a spa day, complete with relaxing music and even cucumbers placed on his eyes, won over the hearts of millions of TikTok users. Tardar Sauce, popularly known as Grumpy Cat because of her seemingly glum expression, has died, her family said on Friday (May 17). Grumpy Cat's family announced on Instagram and Twitter that the seven-year-old feline died on Tuesday due to complications from an infection. "We are unimaginably heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved Grumpy Cat. Despite care from top professionals, as well as from her very loving family, Grumpy encountered complications from a recent urinary tract infection that unfortunately became too tough for her to overcome," read the Instagram post.
