TSB online banking down: Customers in chaos after ‘usernames and passwords exposed’
TSB's online banking is down causing havoc for customers just weeks after a similar payday outage. Dozens of customers took to social media to complain after being unable to access their accounts for a number of hours. Some customers have said they received a "woboError" message when they tried to log in and their usernames and passwords were exposed. One customer wrote on Twitter: "Trying to log into my online account, which then shows the message, 'wobo error'. I can then see my full username and password in the webpage URL bar!" Another said: "@TSB internet banking down AGAIN. Both desktop and mobile. How can this mess still be going on?" A third added: "Again more issues with your service. TSB customers locked out of online banking again after another system upgrade – just months after April meltdown
History could be repeating itself for a number of TSB customers who have been left without access to their accounts after a system upgrade over the weekend. On Friday, the bank tweeted to let customers know that online banking would be down between 11pm on Friday August 31 and 3am Saturday September 1. However, the lender was forced to acknowledge concerns on Sunday after customers complained that they still couldn't access their accounts. And even though TSB has since apologised and tweeted that the problem "has been resolved", customers are still complaining that they still can't use the service. Several users claim they're unable to transfer money online on the first Monday after payday - when many households will be making important bill payments. For others, it means no access to instant banking on the first day of the new school term. TSB online banking down – more troubles for customers of the challenger bank just 2 weeks after it last crashed
Customers of TSB have been blocked from accessing their bank accounts again - with many unable to see their transactions on the day they've been paid. It comes just weeks systems crashed on 3 September - leaving thousands of families unable to transfer money or view payments on the first day of the new school term. The outage has raised fears that after April's nightmare, which saw 1.9million without access to their bank accounts, more of the same could be coming. The bank said "it is aware of an issue affecting some of our customers when they are using our mobile app and Internet Banking this morning. We are working hard to fix this issue and will update again as soon as we can". Mirror Money contacted TSB for a status update.
