China is set to surpass the United States as the world's largest economy and advance down a path toward reclaiming a global power role within the next two decades, according to a new report by the U.S. Intelligence Community. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) published a 144-page report entitled "Global Trends 2040: A More Contested World" that forecasted future trends that would transform the international community nearly 20 years down the road. Among the central factors used to weigh how the world would change was that of the relationship between its top two powers: Washington and Beijing. "The United States, along with its longstanding allies, and China will have the greatest influence on global dynamics," the report stated, "supporting competing visions of the international system and governance that reflect their core interests and ideologies." Hyundai Motor India expects its sales to grow in double digits this year as it anticipates demand to remain strong despite various challenges in the market, said a top company official. The automaker remains optimistic about its sales prospects as there is a strong pull for personal mobility amid the raging coronavirus pandemic . "It is going to be full-fledged operations for us this year (as compared to lockdown and other challenges last year). "There is a strong preference for personal mobility these days owing to the pandemic. So, considering the low base of last year, we may close the year with around 20 percent growth," Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO S S Kim told. The company would like to reach pre-COVID-19 levels in terms of sales as soon as possible, he added. Hyundai had sold 5,50,002 units in 2018, 5,10,260 units in 2019 and 4,23,642 units last year in the domestic market. Choked supply chains mean that orders for new routers could take as long as 60 weeks, which is more than double the length of previous waits. With millions depending on a stable Internet connection in order to work from home, a router shortage couldn’t come at a worse time. Bloomberg shares details provided by people familiar with the situation, who claim that carriers are being quoted wait times as long as 60 weeks for new router orders – double the length of previous wait-times. It’s worth noting that carriers have not run out of routers yet.
