There's a new member of the Fast and Furious family--literally for star Vin Diesel.. Diesel's son, Vincent Sinclair, has been added to the cast of F9: The Fast Saga which is currently scheduled to be in theaters on June 25. As EW reports, the 10-year-old son of the franchise star filmed scenes for the new film in 2019, when he was 9 and that it's his first on-camera role. And while it's not officially confirmed who he'll be playing, TMZ reports that Sinclair is playing a young version of Dominic Toretto--the role made famous by his dad. Given what we know about F9 thus far, it makes sense there would be scenes of a young Dom in the ew film. As first revealed in a trailer from early 2020 , John Cena will play Dom's long-lost brother Jakob--who also happens to be an antagonist in the film. The first image from Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation ’s Blush , has been released. The short film is the first, as part of an expansive multi-year partnership between the two studios. The film follows a stranded horticulturist-astronaut’s struggle for survival after he crash lands on a desolate dwarf planet. When an ethereal visitor arrives, the once-lone traveler discovers the joy in building a new life and realizes the universe has delivered astonishing salvation. The inaugural Apple/Skydance short film is written and directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Joe Mateo. Mateo developed the movie alongside the Skydance Animation team and the film is produced by Heather Schmidt Feng Yanu and executive produced by John Lasseter. Showtime Documentary Films has acquired worldwide rights to the documentary Cusp , from first-time feature directors Parker Hill and Isabel Bethencourt . Showtime plans to release the pic in theaters later this year, ahead of its network premiere. Set in a small military town in Texas and filmed in vérité style, Cusp follows three wild-spirited teenager girls as they live out a fever-dream summer, watching as the strictures of adolescence clash with their growing desire for personal agency. The coming-of-age doc captures authentic moments of female friendship, while also addressing what it means to grow up in a culture of toxic masculinity. Premiering earlier this year at Sundance, the pic earned its directors the festival’s Emerging Filmmaker Special Jury Award. EXCLUSIVE: The Tiffany Haddish and Billy Crystal dramedy Here Today has been picked up by Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions’ Stage 6 Films and will open in theaters on May 7. Crystal directed the movie, repping his eighth time directing and his third on a feature film. Crystal co-wrote the screenplay with his fellow Saturday Night Live alum and Emmy-award winning writer Alan Zweibel inspired by the short story The Prize also written by Zweibel. Here Today follows veteran comedy writer Charlie Burnz (Crystal), who is going through a tough time in his life.
