PSG sell out special jerseys, raise over 200,000 euros for hospitals

REUTERS: Paris St Germain have raised over 200,000 euros (180,603.48 pounds) for local healthcare professionals battling the coronavirus outbreak with the release of a limited edition jersey, the Ligue 1 champions have said. The shirt is a replica of PSG's current home strip but has the words 'Tous Unis' (All Together) where the main sponsor logo usually sits and features badges pledging support to doctors. Amazon recommends New York, New Jersey employees work from home due to coronavirus

REUTERS: Amazon.com Inc has extended its work-from-home advisory to include employees in New York and New Jersey, the company said on Monday (Mar 9), as the world's largest online retailer and other corporations aim to lower the risk of coronavirus transmission among their ranks. "We continue to work closely with public and private medical experts to ensure we are taking the right precautions as the situation continues to evolve," Amazon said in a statement. Archer condemns racist abuse after being targeted online

REUTERS: England fast bowler Jofra Archer has posted an image of racist abuse he received on social media and called on authorities to deal with the issue properly. The 24-year-old Barbados-born paceman, who helped England win the 50-overs World Cup last year, posted an image of the message he received on Instagram and said he could not understand why someone would make such comments. "I (have) given a lot of thought about reacting to this and I hope no one else has to deal with stuff like this on a regular basis, it isn't ever acceptable and should be addressed properly in my opinion," Archer wrote on Instagram. "I will never understand how people feel so freely to say these things to another human being, it baffles me." NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — With the virus continuing to spread and millions of American still out of work, food insecurity has grown worse. As CBS2’s Vanessa Murdock reported, the crisis is testing many organization that help people in need. From mass distribution sites in the heart of New York City, to handmade blessing boxes in suburban New Jersey, it seems no neighborhood hid from the hunger crisis cased by COVID . “The face of hunger has changed,” Janelle Larghi, director of the Tri-Boro Food Pantry, told Murdock. Larghi’s grandfather founded the pantry in the 1980s in Park Ridge , New Jersey. “He was met with a lot of resistance to have a pantry in this affluent area,” she said.
