Munti City Hall reduces workforce, office hours

The local government of Muntinlupa is reducing the composition of its skeletal workforce including its operating hours following a surge of Covid-19 positive cases among staff. Mayor Jaime Fresnedi signed Executive Order 13 s. 2021 ordering the reduction of manpower reporting in the City Hall premises and the local government’s operating hours after recording a high attack rate of up to 211 cases per 1000 population among employees from March 27 to April 2. Fresnedi said the reduction in the work force covers offices in the Main Building, Annex Building, and People’s Center starting April 5 to give way to intensive disinfection, testing, and quarantine measures. On April 5, the City Health Office has conducted a mass antigen testing of staff who reported physically for work. The CHO is set to closely monitor all positive and probable Covid-19 cases among the workforce and implement strict isolation protocols, including contact tracing. 7 P.M. Curfews Go Into Effect For 2.5M In Twin Cities Metro Area After Daunte Wright Shooting Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Twin Cities will be under a 7 p.m. curfew Monday evening following Sunday’s fatal police shooting of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center. The curfew will run until 6 a.m. Tuesday. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter III say that the cities are under a state of emergency. ‘Holy S**t, I Just Shot Him’: Chief Believes Officer Kim Potter Meant To Use Taser In Fatal Shooting Of Daunte Wright

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — During a press conference Monday afternoon, officials in Brooklyn Center released body camera footage of the fatal police shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright. The body camera shows police approaching Wright’s vehicle and asking him to step out of the car. They attempt to handcuff him before he pulls away and gets back into his driver’s seat. Ho Chi Minh City tests public bicycle service in District 1

Ho Chi Minh City authorities have given the nod to piloting a public bicycle project in District 1 for 12 months, with bicycles to be placed on sidewalks for everybody to rent. The approval of the pilot project, called Mobike, was announced by the People’s Committee Office in a notice on Monday. Accordingly, the project investor, Tri Nam Group Joint Stock Company, will be entitled to use sidewalks at 43 locations in District 1 for placing bicycles for rent, said the office. The investor is not allowed to use such places for any other purposes, the office added. Municipal People’s Committee chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong assigned the local transport department to coordinate with relevant agencies in implementing the pilot project, evaluating its implementation results, and making recommendations to the local government.
