American pop icon Beyonce was inspired by her teen fan Lyric Chanel who succumbed to her long gruelling battle with brain cancer. The singer created a short video as a tribute to her admirer. Taking to Instagram, the family of the 13-year-old girl chronicled her days grappling with the illness. The teenager died this week after a painful two-year battle with anaplastic ependymoma at age 13. The little girl attracted over 600,000 followers, including celebrities like Queen Bey and Cardi B on Instagram. The 39-year-old pop icon posted a video on YouTube for the young girl on March 5. The 13-year-old Chanel died Friday following a two-year battle with brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma; Chanel’s fight against the disease and her positivity in the face of the diagnosis made her an Instagram sensation and garnered support from artists like Beyoncé ( who sent Chanel flowers in September 2020 ) and Cardi B, Billboard reports .
