Police have arrested the wife of an American Airlines executive who was murdered in October while walking his dog in Dallas, Texas. James Faith, 49, who worked as technology director at the U.S. airline, was on a walk with his wife, Jennifer Faith, in North Oak Cliff, Dallas, on October 9, when he was shot multiple times and killed. The widow told police after the shooting that she and her husband had celebrated their 15th anniversary the day before. Jennifer Faith, 48, said they were just outside their home on South Waverly Drive, when she heard someone approaching from behind. Police said it was a masked man with a handgun who shot James Faith seven times before knocking Jennifer Faith down, trying to bind her hands with duct tape and steal her jewelry. Jennifer Faith is the second person to be arrested in connection with her husband's killing. Mr Loveth Odah, Spokesperson of the command made this known at a news conference on Friday in Abakaliki. Odah said the children, Tochukwu, 5, Wisdom, 4, had also been rescued by the command. They were held for demanding bribe from a Kolhapur-based company to release seized silver The Central Bureau of Investigation ( CBI ) has arrested two customs officers for allegedly demanding a bribe of over Rs 19 lakh from a private company in Maharashtra for releasing 60-kg silver seized by them, agency officials said on Thursday. The CBI has alleged that customs assistant commissioner (preventive) AP Bandekar had demanded Rs 15 lakh and customs superintendent (rummaging and intelligence) Niraj K Singh had sought Rs 4lakh from the company for releasing the seized cargo. The two officers have been sent to CBI custody till Saturday, they said. BENGALURU: Indian opposition politicians and activists on Monday (Feb 15) condemned the arrest of a 22-year-old climate activist after she was accused of helping disseminate a document by Greta Thunberg promoting farmer protests. Police picked up Disha Ravi from her home in Bengaluru and took her to Delhi for questioning over her alleged role in disseminating the document in the months-long protest outside the Indian capital. A Delhi police source said that Ravi had been arrested in connection with a sedition case against the alleged authors of the "toolkit" on how to help the farmers. Sedition carries a penalty of life imprisonment in India. On Sunday, a court ordered Ravi into custody for questioning for five days, prompting outrage on social media and among the farm unions.
