Although they remained 140 runs behind the home side going into the final day, they had passed the all important follow-on by the close. Libby, who was the second highest run scorer in the Bob Willis Trophy last year, has started this season in similarly good form, finishing unbeaten on 141 from 369 deliveries, while Barnard, at number eight, made his maiden first-class hundred and is 116 not out. A five-wicket haul from Oliver Hannon-Dalby has put Warwickshire in pole position to claim victory over Derbyshire on the final day at Edgbaston.
