A child predator who arranged the rape of an eight-year-old girl travelled 120 miles with restraints and sex toys. Lance Baynes, 48, was found in possession of restraints, sex toys and lubricant when he was arrested at a service station. He begins his eight-year prison sentence today after trying to commit serious child sex abuse. Baynes, of Walsall, West Midlands, had arranged to meet another man to carry out the offending but was arrested en-route at Sutton Scotney Services with the sex toy stash. His electronic devices were seized and he was found to be administrating an account where indecent images of children were being exchanged with like-minded offenders, the court heard. Depraved Baynes was found to be in possession of 1,430 indecent or extreme images and he was also communicating sexually with a 13-year-old girl. After a complex investigation, Baynes admitted ten charges including arranging or facilitating the rape of a child under 13 years old. This also included three counts of making indecent images of children, possession of extreme indecent images, three counts of distributing indecent images of children and intentionally encouraging an offender to commit an indictable offence.
