A driver who chased two thieves on a motorbike stolen from his house has been jailed for 10 years for killing one of them. Mihai Dinisoae, a Romanian national, was sentenced on Wednesday for the manslaughter of 28-year-old Josh Molloy, who was thrown from the bike and against a lamppost when Dinisoae hit the motorcycle in his Vauxhall Vectra. He had earlier been cleared of murder following a trial at Newcastle Crown Court. Mr Molloy and his associate, a 29-year-old man, had stolen the motorbike from outside Dinisoae’s home in Baldwin Avenue, Fenham, on 5 May, prompting a high-speed chase through Newcastle. CCTV released by police shows Dinisoae driving the wrong way round roundabouts and ramming the motorcycle with the two men aboard. Advertisement After eventually knocking them both off, he is said to have left them severely injured in the street.
