Star India acquires rights of Cricket South Africa

Star India has acquired the rights of Cricket South Africa (CSA) till 2023/24 season. Its rights will extend over Asia, Middle-East and North Africa as well. That Star and the South Africa board were in negotiations was first reported here six months ago. Star has stated that the agreement grants the broadcaster exclusive rights across linear and digital mediums, including all India tours to South Africa in this period. The association will commence with England’s tour to South Africa starting on Friday. It was to kickstart with a three-match T20I series against India but the matches could not take place because of the Coronavirus situation and lockdown. South Africa will be playing 59 Tests in this period. BCCI cricket, Indian Premier League apart from other cricket rights. “We are delighted to collaborate with Cricket South Africa. South Africa has some of the most highly recalled cricketers and competitive teams, which pride themselves in taking on the best from around the world.
