The stars have rushed to pay tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg , whose death was announced last night. The 87-year-old died due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer while surrounded by family at her home. The heavyweight American politician announced in July that she was undergoing chemotherapy for lesions on her liver, after suffering five bouts of cancer beginning in 1999. The Supreme Court announced her passing on Friday night sparking an outpouring of tributes. Justin Theroux – a members of the cast of the film of her life On the Basis of Sex – was one of the first to acknowledge Ginsburg’s passing. “I am heartbroken,” he wrote on Instagram alongside pictures meeting the gender activist.
