MURDERED Jodie Chesney’s stepmum has spoken of her grief and told how the senseless killing led to her marriage collapsing. Joanne Chesney — who helped raise the 17-year-old — had been celebrating husband Peter’s 39th birthday when innocent Jodie was killed by drug dealers in a “turf war” in March in a case of mistaken identity. And Joanne revealed she had to tell Jodie’s birth mum her daughter had been killed. Speaking for the first time about the family’s ordeal, Joanne said: “There are no words to describe what it’s been like losing Jodie. “I just couldn’t believe it when Peter told me what had happened. We had been out for his birthday and I went back to the apartment early when I got a call from him. “I remember his exact words were, ‘Jodie’s dead. She’s been stabbed’.“He was in complete shock — we both were.
