Actor and voice-over star Stephen Moore, who was the voice of the paranoid android in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy has died aged 81. The English actor had been on our screens since the 1970s and was best known for playing Kevin the teenager’s father alongside Harry Enfield in 1997. The London-born actor also played Silurian Eldane in Doctor Who and has been described by friends and family as a ‘lovely man’. His death was confirmed yesterday by producer Dirk Maggs who took to Twitter to pay tribute.
