David Cutcliffe Current job: Duke coachThe skinny: The 63-year-old Cutcliffe may not want to jump into the Tennessee fray at this stage of his career, but perhaps the Vols could entice him with the head job after he served for years as Phillip Fulmer’s offensive coordinator. Cutcliffe used Tennessee’s 1998 national championship season as a spring board to his first head coaching job at Mississippi.Cutcliffe’s career record of 102-96 doesn’t sizzle, but given that his coaching stops are Ole Miss and Duke — programs where it’s tough to win at a high level — it’s not a bad mark, either. Including this year, Duke has made a bowl game in five of the past six seasons.This biggest hold up is whether Cutcliffe would take the job.
